Huber’s commitment to social responsibility is driven by the Huber Principles. As part of our ongoing commitment to improving today for a better tomorrow, we have pledged to donate a percentage of our net revenues annually towards helping people and the planet.
Corporate and Local Donations
Huber actively supports charitable organizations around the world through donations and volunteerism coordinated at the local level, both in response to natural disasters, and to address longer term community issues and needs through local “Impact Your Community” projects.
Employee Volunteer Program
Each Huber employee is encouraged to spend time volunteering with coworkers for local community charities and initiatives. Local plants organize group volunteer opportunities for team building and community outreach.
Matching Gifts Program
Huber employees in the United States are invited to make donations to accredited educational institutions annually, which Huber will match up to $10,000 USD. Additionally, each Huber employee in the United States is invited to make a donation to a 501(c)3 charity of their choice annually, which Huber will match up to $250 USD per employee.
Huber House Program in partnership with Habitat for Humanity
Huber is a proud partner and sponsor of Habitat for Humanity, and provides opportunities for Huber employees to volunteer to help build affordable housing across the country.
About Habitat for Humanity
Driven by the vision that everyone needs a decent place to live, Habitat for Humanity began in 1976 as a grassroots effort on a community farm in southern Georgia. The Christian housing organization has since grown to become a leading global nonprofit working in local communities across all 50 states in the US and in more than 70 countries.
Families and individuals in need of a hand up partner with Habitat for Humanity to build or improve a place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. Through financial support, volunteering or adding a voice to support affordable housing, everyone can help families achieve the strength, stability and self-reliance they need to build better lives for themselves. Support of the Gary Sinise Foundation R.I.S.E. Program
TheR.I.S.E. (Restoring Independence and Supporting Empowerment) program, created by actor Gary Sinise as part of the Gary Sinise Foundation, builds specially adapted smart homes for America’s most severely wounded veterans and their families.
Many military families with a wounded veteran lack the financial resources to adapt or retrofit their home to help them regain mobility. To bring wounded veterans a step closer to a more independent life, Huber Engineered Woods has committed to furnishing select homes in the R.I.S.E. program with ZIP System® sheathing and associated tape and accessories, ZIP System™ stretch tape, AdvanTech® subfloor panels, and AdvanTech™ subfloor adhesive for multiple home builds annually.
